ST. LOUIS FATHER AND DAUGHTER DENTISTS RECEIVE PRESTIGIOUS FELLOWSHIP AWARD FROM THE ACADEMY OF GENERAL DENTISTRY
CHICAGO (07/15/2017) – The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that R. Eric Emery, DDS and Morgan A. Emery, DDS, of St. Louis, MO, received the prestigious Fellowship Award during the AGD’s Convocation ceremony, a commencement celebration that recognizes AGD member’s commitment to excellence in dental education. Held at the AGD’s Scientific Session on July 15, 2017, in Las Vegas, NV, the Drs. Emery were the only father and daughter dentists to receive their awards amongst the more than 280 other recipients.
The Fellowship Award is presented to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. In order to receive this award, each Dr. Emery completed over 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam, and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD. As recipients of this award, Drs. Emery have joined an elite group of about 6485 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

About Dr. R. Eric Emery and Dr. Morgan A. Emery
Dr. R. Eric Emery graduated from University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1985 and currently practices dentistry at Smile Station Dental in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Emery also shares his dental knowledge by instructing students one day each week at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. In addition to the AGD, Dr. Eric Emery is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, and the Apex Spear Study Club.
Dr. Morgan A. Emery graduated from University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2012 and teaches clinical dentistry as a co-leader of one of the patient management teams at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. She also sees patients one day each week at Smile Station Dental, the practice she shares with her father. In addition to the AGD, Dr. Morgan Emery is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Missouri Sleep Society, the Illinois Sleep Society, and is the leader of the Apex Spear Study Club.
